Tip 1: Control screens and other controls in HOOGENDOORN ECONOMIC

The ECONOMIC can be organised as your wish. Folders, graphs and setting lists can be put together just the way you would like it. This is possible for the main control and remote control(s) separately. If you would like the same settings for both systems, this is possible with "save centrally". This usertip shows how this works.

By saving folders centrally they will be available for all controls. This makes it possible to reach these folders through remote control, without having to create these folders manually on the remote control.

Method in order to "save centrally":

- Select the concerning folder
- Click on the mouse button (right)
- Choose "save centrally"

If it is not necessary anymore to reach the centrally saved folder with remote control, choose "delete centrally".

"Save centrally" from the remote control only works if your PC is locally connected with the ECONOMIC. If your PC is connected to the ECONOMIC through a modem it is not possible to save centrally.

Tip 2: Long term registration in HOOGENDOORN ECONOMIC

The long term registration from the ECONOMIC can be used to find trends. Is a section always warmer or colder than an other section at the same settings? What has been the average temperature during a certain period? This usertip indicates how the long term registration can be used.

Long term data are day-/night data and can be saved for 2 years. It is possible to make week and period overviews from these data. These overviews are used by growers for discussion material with colleagues and other growers.

The graphs are especially useful in order to find trends. The graph shows that highest measured temperature in the greenhouse was found in department 1 and the lowest in department 3. Questions to be asked by the grower can be as follows:

  • were the settings equally set up?
  • are the measurements correctly?
  • are the heating and ventilation on automatic or manual?
  • how is the minimum tube set up?
  • etc.
